(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) recently announced Melissa Ferrari, CAE, as its new Executive Director. Ferrari has served as Interim CEO since June 2024, after joining the College in November 2020 as Vice President, Membership and Operations. Ferrari brings an extensive background in association management having held executive management roles in several mission-driven and trade membership-based organizations.

“While serving as Interim CEO for the past year, Ms. Ferrari has demonstrated the leadership needed to help position ACPM for its next chapter,” said ACPM President Ryung Suh. “As the College leans into its long history, while facing financial headwinds, evolving member needs and operational challenges, the Board is confident Ms. Ferrari will be a strong partner and Executive Director as we face these challenges and help secure the future of Preventive Medicine and public health.”

Prior to joining ACPM, Ferrari was Senior Vice President, Member Services, at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (now Printing United Alliance), following her role as Associate Executive Director for Membership, Marketing and Member Communications at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

“It is an honor to continue to lead this organization,” said Ms. Ferrari. “Throughout my career, I have supported many passionate members who work hard through their professional homes to make a difference. I experience that same high-level of commitment and dedication at the College and look forward to partnering with our leadership and volunteers to move the specialty and ACPM forward.”
