Donna Grande, MGA Chief Executive Officer

Donna Grande has over 25 years of experienced leadership, developing innovative programs and integrative strategies, communicating ideas, and managing/directing campaigns and programs to achieve measurable outcomes. Ms. Grande is a passionate health professional who applies evidence-based principles and cutting-edge strategies to improve people, processes, and health conditions. She has developed and led high-impact campaigns for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health and managed and directed key strategic health initiatives for The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the National Cancer Institute, American Cancer Society, American Medical Association, and the Visiting Nurse Associations of America.

Donna has led and guided groups to achieve extraordinary results through inspirational leadership, self-awareness, self-management, and enhanced business acumen, both domestically and abroad. She joined the American Nurses Association in 2013 to enhance and expand the ANA Leadership Institute and to provide executive leadership for an expanding portfolio of business. She quickly was promoted to vice president of products and services leading a team of 20 professionals and a portfolio of $17 million in non-dues revenues. In 2018, Donna assumed the role of executive director of the American College of Preventive Medicine fulfilling her passion for prevention and advancing population health with/and for key clinical leaders in preventive medicine.

As a committed volunteer leader, Donna serves on the Annapolis Wellness House Board of Directors, is a volunteer stakeholder for Cancer Drug Discovery with the American Cancer Society, and chairs the Mid-Atlantic Region of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.

Donna earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and a master’s degree in Marketing and General Administration from the University of Maryland. She completed additional executive coursework in marketing, fundraising, and leadership development with Northwestern University in Chicago and Gallup University in Washington, D.C. She is certified in Assessments with the Center for Creative Leadership and is a Gallup, Inc. certified Strengths Coach.

Donna lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband Mark (a Chicagoan) and their beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Bella.
