George K. Anderson, MD, MPH, FAsMA, FACPM
Major General, USAF (retired)George K. Anderson, MD, MPH is an experienced physician executive and preventive medicine leader. Following his medical and public health education and training, he began his professional career as an Air Force Flight Surgeon. His military service included overseas medical duty in Korea and Germany as well as aerospace medicine leadership positions in the United States. Following thirty years of military service, he transitioned to physician executive positions in the private sector.
As a Principal and Member of the Board of Directors of New World Healthcare Solutions, a medical consulting and executive search firm, he guides clients in the medical management and technology arenas. Prior experiences include serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Oceania, Inc, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Koop Foundation, and during a distinguished career in the Air Force as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Services Operations and Readiness) where he developed policies, evaluated requirements, and directed programs for the eight million beneficiaries of the Military Health Services System.

Hugh Tilson, MD, DrPH, FACPM
Hugh Tilson, MD, DrPH, FACPM, earned his MD from Washington University and his DrPH from Harvard. He has spent fifteen years in government public health service, fifteen years in the multinational pharmaceutical industry, and over twenty years in academia. While serving as the Multnomah County Oregon Health Officer, Dr. Tilson was elected President of NACCHO. After leaving Portland, Dr. Tilson served as State Health Officer in North Carolina before beginning his career as Global Senior Vice President of Burroughs (Glaxo) Wellcome. While in industry he served as the founding co-president of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology. And to keep things interesting, Dr. Tilson served as vice-chair of the Board of ABPM and as President of ACPM. He left industry to joint the faculty of Public Health Leadership at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health where he also served as senior advisor to the Dean, a member of the national Public Health Accreditation Board, and Sagadahoc County Maine’s first County Health Officer. He continues on the adjunct faculty of UNC (and Duke), a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, and Senior Advisor to the Dean at the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health.

Thomas E. Novotny, M.D., M.P.H., DSc (Hon)
Thomas E. Novotny, M.D., M.P.H., DSc (Hon) is currently Emeritus Professor of Global Health in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and an Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of California, San Diego. He is Board Certified in Preventive Medicine and has specialized in health systems development, non-communicable disease control, and health diplomacy. Prior to his academic career, he was with the U.S. Public Health Service for 23 years, serving as a Family Physician in the National Health Service Corps, as a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in the Colorado Department of Health, as a Medical Epidemiologist with the CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health, as CDC liaison to the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, as CDC liaison to the World Bank, and as Assistant Surgeon General and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International and Refugee Health.
