Dysinger presented on the financial and clinical considerations of setting up a lifestyle medicine practice. Dysinger reviewed examples of billing and reimbursements models in traditional and emerging payment settings, as well as patient care models that include group visits. AMA Features ACPM's Resolution to Improve Lifestyle Medicine Education
NEWS ARTICLE – FEBRUARY 2, 2018

AMA Wire published an article titled "Schools push lifestyle medicine to boost chronic-disease prevention" featuring ACPM Executive Director Michael Barry and the lifestyle medicine resolution ACPM put forth to the AMA House of Delegates. The resolution is in support of policies and mechanisms that incentivize or provide funding for inclusion of lifestyle medicine education and the social determinants of health in undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education.

The American College of Preventive Medicine, in conjunction with the Lifestyle Medicine Education Collaborative, held a congressional briefing entitled, “Transforming Medical Education to Prevent Chronic Disease.” The briefing focused on the need to include training on nutrition, physical activity, and other lifestyle elements in medical school curricula and continuing medical education.
