Since March 2020, there have been more than 20 million cases and 350,000 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the U.S. leaving a gaping hole in many of our lives.
As we continue to work to contain the pandemic and make our way towards recovery, an important tool in the public health toolbox has been authorized and is now available – vaccines against COVID-19 have been authorized for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration.

How Residency Programs are Adapting to Virtual Application Interviews
On May 11, 2020 the Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) released a statement encouraging medical schools, hospitals and other institutions to perform virtual interviews, and provided guidance for program directors and applicants on how to prepare and conduct them. Nearly all Preventive Medicine Residency program directors who responded to an informal survey posted on the pmrdirectors Google Group stated that they plan to perform virtual interviews.
