About the Program

This course will explore why social determinants of health (poverty, lack of education, food insecurity, unstable built environment including housing/transportation etc.) need to be addressed to tackle chronic diseases at a population level. The course will explore the challenges, roles, and advances achieved at different levels of the health care delivery system to improve health in all dimensions - physical, behavioral, and social.
