ACPM is the leading advocate for public health and prevention within the American Medical Association (AMA) and is a participant in the AMA House of Delegates. Through the House of Delegates, medical specialty societies work together to advance the practice of medicine.

AMA Resolutions

As a participating organization, ACPM may choose to sponsor or co-sponsor policy resolutions at an AMA House of Delegates semi-annual meeting. ACPM works with other specialty societies and public health organizations to jointly advocate for policies that will advance the practice of prevention and public health.

Section Council on Preventive Medicine

Section councils of the AMA House of Delegates encourage and facilitate cooperation among participating organizations, partners and individuals. Chaired by ACPM, the Section Council on Preventive Medicine provides an opportunity for preventive medicine specialist to establish, promote, and implement strong preventive medicine policies, practices and activities within the AMA.
