Evaluation of Value of Preventive Medicine to the Health System

ACPM has received a grant from the Centers for Disease Control  and Prevention (CDC) Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services (CSELS) to develop a study methodology and  conduct a national survey to gain new knowledge and understanding of the state of preventive medicine in 2019 and the value add to the overall health system

Project Details

ACPM has convened a Study Team of experts in preventive medicine to design and develop the key questions and methodology for a national survey to determine the value of PM in today’s healthcare ecosystem.  The Study Team would comprises of key researchers and experts in the field of PM. The team will have an Evaluation Specialist assigned to support the Study team for survey development, analysis, and interpretation.

Data collected from the survey would be analyzed and prepared for both presentation at the Annual Conference in 2019 and a manuscript to include in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine (AJPM) and help inform strategies to advance the preventive medicine pipeline and profession to fill critical roles in the healthcare ecosystem.
