Shannon M. Haworth is a Program Director at the American College of Preventive Medicine where she leads and supports CDC capacity development activities, as well as Lifestyle Medicine initiatives. She has extensive program management experience in the areas of public health, population health management, increasing health equity by addressing the social determinants of health for underserved populations, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Before coming to ACPM she worked at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as a Public Health Analyst, and managed projects and programs at several disability and behavioral health related non-profit organizations. Shannon has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Disability Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a former trainee and faculty in the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) funded Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program at Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH).
