Lifestyle Medicine Program Accreditation

This fully accredited program provides a comprehensive foundation on the basic principles of lifestyle medicine and is a recognized prerequisite for the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine certification exam.

Earning Credit

  • The full core competencies program, as well as individual modules and the additional courses, are accredited by ACCME.
  • 32 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM are available through the full core competencies program and 9 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM are available in additional coursework.
  • Participants who complete the full core competencies program and take the post-module evaluations will be eligible to receive an online certificate of completion.

Outcome Objectives

Upon completion of this education activity, participants should be able to:

  • Analyze the scientific foundation behind lifestyle medicine competencies and modalities for improved prevention and treatment of key chronic health conditions
  • Address the common misconceptions about lifestyle behaviors that impact health outcomes
  • Tailor effective lifestyle medicine prescriptions to address the specific healthcare and psychosocial needs of individual patients
  • Use certain practice guidelines and techniques that can positively impact patient-provider interactions

The American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Full Program

ACPM designates this enduring material for a maximum of 32 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Additional Courses

ACPM designates this enduring material for a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Non-Physician Credit

ACPM is not accredited to offer credit to non-physicians. To determine if activities designated for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM are acceptable for your licensing or certification needs, please contact your credentialing body directly.

Maintenance of Certification
