Round 2

Teams selected to participate in Round 2 will be notified by February 28 and may start working together to create all required project package materials. (We recommend using Slack for collaborating virtually with your team members.)

A complete project package must be submitted by March 22 (11:59 p.m. EDT) and include all of the requirements listed in the Round 2 Project Package Submission Requirements document, including:

Judges will review all package submissions and determine the teams/projects that qualify for Round 3. Selected teams for Round 3 will be notified by April 1.

Round 3

May 19

Teams selected to participate in Round 3 will be notified by April 1. At least one member from each team (an ACPM member if applicable) must attend the in-person Project Facilitation Day to be held in Pittsburgh on May 19. The Project Facilitation Day will provide guidance on the project development phase. Team members will attend talks on the innovation process—e.g., contracting, intellectual property, budget, etc—and receive guidance from mentors on how to elaborate on their proposals.

Meeting attendees and the public are invited to watch these presentations on May 19 (1:00–4:30pm) as part of the DesignHack Project Facilitation Day pre-conference institute. There is an additional fee to participate in pre-conference institutes. Review the DesignHack institute's schedule of events for additional details.

May 21

Also part of Round 3 is a live event on May 21, where teams will present their pitch to judges and audience members. Live pitch presentations:

Teams will also attend a pitch practice session on Monday, May 20, where they will present their pitch to a coach for practice and feedback.

Pitch Review and Voting

ACPM conference attendees will have the option to review all the pitches online (through the meeting website and app) and cast their vote for the best pitch before the final decision. Judges will make their final decisions and winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 21. Winning teams will be invited to join the Corporate Roundtable for a reception that evening.

Please note, the Round 1 submission deadline has passed and we are no longer accepting new entries. 

All contest materials for Round 2 and Round 3 should be submitted through the DesignHack Submission Form on the ACPM website.
