Stephanie Marshall has devoted her career to protecting public health and ensuring access to high quality, affordable health care. With more than 20 years health policy, advocacy, and communications experience in the public, private and non-profits sectors at the national and local levels, she has a unique understanding of our complex healthcare system and the forces impacting how health care is delivered and financed.
She has worked at the highest levels of government, including the White House and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as well as for a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical manufacturer, a global public relations agency, and a health care trade association representing leading voluntary health agencies. Ms. Marshall has led numerous high profile programs and campaigns including creating and implementing a national communications strategy for pandemic flu preparedness, serving as the first communications director for Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative, and directing the launch of Eli Lilly and Company's global corporate social responsibility program to combat multi-drug resistance tuberculosis.
Most recently, she served as president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Collier County in Naples, Florida where she led an evolution of the organization's business strategy and culture to respond to changes in the healthcare landscape under the Affordable Care Act. Under her leadership, she created and implemented a strategic fundraising plan, enhanced community outreach, and launched new education programs, resulting in a significant increase in new donors, more than a dozen strategic partnerships, and positive media coverage.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
