Andrea Lowe, MPH is the Policy and Practice Manager for the American College of Preventive Medicine as of July 2012. She is responsible for assisting the Associate Executive Director, Mr. Paul Bonta, with advancing ACPM’s legislative advocacy agenda. In addition, she works closely with the ACPM Graduate Medical Education committee and Council of Residency Program Directors as well as the National Violence Prevention Network and other ACPM programs and initiatives as needed.
Prior to this position, Ms. Lowe has worked for several state and local health departments coordinating public health programs ranging from influenza surveillance to workforce diversity.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech and a Master’s degree in Public Health, specializing in Health Policies and Programs from the University of South Florida. Andrea also received her Certification in Public Health in April 2012. In her spare time, she loves rock climbing, reading, cooking, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
