Director of Continuing Education
Ms. Barno directs and manages the planning and execution of the organization's continuing Medical Education (CME) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) programs according to the standards and regulations set by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) and the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). In her position, she works with the Conference Planning and Continuing Medical Education committees to design, develop, and implement high quality programs and educational products.
Prior to joining ACPM, Haydee was employed as Manager of Meetings at the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO). AEO is a national membership organization that supports Microenterprise Development in the United States. In that position, Haydee executed more than 50 events for the organization and was responsible for the development and execution of its first Microenterprise Training in Spanish.
Mrs. Barno earned her law degree from the American University of Managua (UAM) in 2000 and her MBA degree from Strayer University in Washington, DC in 2010. She is also a Certified Meeting Professional in Health Care (CMP-HC). Prior to her arrival in the U.S., she worked for a firm that specializes in commercial law. Mrs. Barno is fluent in English and Spanish.
