President: Regan A. Stiegmann, DO, MPH

Dr. Regan Stiegmann is a General Preventive Medicine resident at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. She is a Captain in the United States Air Force. She received her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVUCOM) in Parker, CO including a military medicine honors track. She completed a traditional rotating internship at Columbus Regional Health, Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA. She has a strong passion for Lifestyle Medicine and the promotion of mindfulness and metacognition in health care. Dr. Stiegmann's professional interests include positive psychology, health care efficiency, mental health & reproductive health, as well as the study of philosophical, quantum, and anthropologic medicine. Outside of medicine, she enjoys photography, gardening, cooking, and adventuring, As a Denver native, she hopes to return to Colorado to further pursue her career in Preventive and Lifestyle Medicine.

Executive VP: Edward Kalpas, MD, MPH

Dr. Edward Kalpas is a preventive medicine resident at Stony Brook University. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Dartmouth College, a medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and a master of public health degree from Columbia University. He completed a general surgery internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. His professional interests include medical education, bioinformatics, quality improvement, public health genomics, precision medicine, bioethics, health economics, medical communication and interpersonal skills, international health, and integrative medicine.



VPs of External Affairs: Sritha Rajupet, MD & Emilie Prot, DO

Dr. Sritha Rajupet is currently enrolled in the General Preventive Medicine Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she is also earning her masters in public health. Her primary focus and passion is on cancer prevention and care coordination as the American Cancer Society Physician Training Award recipient. She received her medical degree from St. Matthews School of Medicine, completed her residency in family medicine at the Institute for Family Health and was a women's health fellow focusing on HPV research through the Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program at North Well-Staten Island. Dr. Rajupet's other professional interests include health systems transformation and leadership to enhance efficiency and quality of care delivery.

 



Dr. Emilie Prot is a General Preventive Medicine Resident at Texas Department State Health Services in Austin, TX. Dr. Prot completed her preliminary year in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, OH after graduating medical school from Ohio University HCOM in Athens, OH. Dr. Prot has been selected on the American Medical Association Public Health Committee for the past two years and elected to the Texas Medical Association Council on Health Promotion. Dr. Prot’s professional interests include health equity, global health, policy and education. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends and teaching her cockatiels new tricks.



VP of Policy & Education: Rosalyn Plotzker, MD

Dr. Plotzker is a general preventive medicine resident and MPH candidate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. Dr. Plotzker's professional interests include sexual health, medical journalism, and international health equity. She has worked in Kenya with Kisumu Medical Education Trust (KMET), and in Vietnam as a Henry Luce Scholar. In New York City, Dr. Plotzker's work addresses HIV prevention, as well as care models designed to serve older people living with HIV.



VP of Communication: Maria Mora Pinzon, MD, MS

Dr. Mora Pinzon is a PGY-2 in Preventive Medicine at University of Wisconsin – Madison. Maria received her MD from the prestigious Universidad Central de Venezuela - Escuela Jose Maria Vargas, obtained her MS in Clinical Research from Rush University (Chicago, IL), and completed two years of general surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.  Her professional interest include interactions between public health and healthcare systems, policy development and evaluation, among others. VP of Membership & Recruitment: Joshua Duncan, MD

Dr. Duncan is currently enrolled in the General Preventive Medicine Residency at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, where he previously earned his medical degree in 2009. He is a Major in the United States Air Force and served a tour as a flight surgeon during his preceding military assignment. Dr. Duncan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics who completed his pediatric residency at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. His professional interests include health systems administration, clinical epidemiology, health informatics, and global health and development.
