Revenue:
As of 1/31/99 (data collected from 9/1/98 to 1/31/99),
membership dues total $330,105. This compares to
membership dues of $329,155 in 1998.
Membership: Since
8/31/98, forty individuals have been approved for
membership; 48 applications are currently being reviewed
by the Membership Committee; and another 30 individuals
are in the final stages of the application process.
Recruitment: In
June 1998, ACPM contracted with JAM Communications to
develop a 12-month, 6-piece recruitment campaign. The
fourth piece, based on legislative efforts of the College,
was recently completed. The fifth mailing will concentrate
on education issues while the sixth and final mailing will
consist of ACPM informational pieces – publications, web
page, etc.
You can help the
recruitment effort by spreading the news about ACPM to
your colleagues and friends. Just one referral from each
Board member would help increase ACPM membership. Staff is
happy to provide applications and brochures to anyone who
is interested in recruiting new members.
On a related note, staff
would like to thank those Board members who contacted
potential members who responded to the JAM Communications
mailing (testimonial flyer). Your effort and assistance
was most appreciated.
Web Page: ACPM
is beginning the process of handling the entire
application process on-line. Having the process take place
on-line would greatly increase efficiency and
significantly reduce the amount of paperwork involved.
Corporate
Membership:
Staff are also reviewing the possibility of having
corporate memberships. Many organizations already have
such a category under their membership. This could be a
very effective tool for ACPM – not only to increase
membership – but also to establish strategic alliances
with the business community.
Joint
Membership:
Staff are also exploring the options of creating joint or
‘bundled’ memberships with AsMA and ACOEM. There are
overlapping membership in each of the organizations. By
offering potential members the combined benefits of
multiple organizations, we have an opportunity to increase
total membership.
MemberTrak:ACPM’s
new database MemberTrak (Access-based software) was
implemented in late January 1999. Staff is presently
working out the ‘kinks’ in the system. Once we have
confidence that the data have been converted correctly we
will greatly improve our ability to provide membership
services. MemberTrak will enable us to make better use of
web-based technologies, more easily produce and update a
membership directory, and target activities to members’
special interests. Training on the new database is
scheduled for April 7-9, 1999.
