ACPM is working diligently to serve the needs of preventive medicine professionals at all levels, including students. Medical students may join the College at the economical, one-time rate of $30 for 2013. Upon graduation, medical students should progress to resident membership.

ACPM’s Preventive Medicine meeting is the place for professionals to enhance their skills and education in the latest research and techniques in preventive medicine. The American Journal of Preventive Medicine is filled with articles on research and scientific developments. Peer-reviewed articles help make this the premier journal for preventive medicine physicians. This important resource is published 12 times per year, and is available to subscribers online or in print. AJPM is a well-respected publication, likely to become an important reference for your career in preventive medicine. Medical students receive a electronic subscription to the journal, and are able to view content online (only).

ACPM’s membership staff is readily available to assist with member requests. We also offer a web-based system which allows members quick-and-easy access to services. The key components of ACPM’s online services include: view and manage your contact information online, renew your membership online, register online for conferences and other events; and locate friends, colleagues and mentors with the online directory feature. Member groups may also use ACPM’s online system for committee/section engagement.

ACPM is also a member of the National Healthcare Network (NHCN), a group of more than 300 healthcare associations and professional societies. This affiliation allows ACPM members access to more job postings from a variety of healthcare employers. Employers also gain access to a more diverse applicant pool.
ACPM's online interactive calendar provides up-to-date information on events and conferences of particular interest to ACPM members. The calendar features an interactive menu, allowing you to receive e-mails or text messages on your smartphone with event details, and add the event to your choice of several major calendar services, including MS Outlook and Apple iCal. You may also choose to extract ACPM-specific events or subscribe to the calendar through an RSS feed.
