Emerging Issues in Sexually Transmitted Diseases: 2010
STD Treatment Guidelines Webinar-Focus on the Treatment of STDs in Military
Populations

This live webinar is for clinicians who provide care for
military populations. The webinar will begin with an overview of the
epidemiology of STDs followed by a discussion of the critical diagnostic and
management challenges for specific STDs of concern for this population. The
webinar will discuss programming for maintaining and improving the sexual
health of men and women serving in the military. The webinar will conclude with
a live question and answer session.
After this activity the participant will be able to: - Discuss clinical significance of the sexual
health/clinical issue.
- Describe epidemiological trends related to the sexual
health/clinical issue.
- Identify key screening and treatment recommendations
for management of the sexual health/clinical issue, in accordance with CDC 2010
STD Treatment Guidelines.
- Promote health improvement, wellness, and disease
prevention in cooperation with patients, communities, at-risk populations, and
other members of an interprofessional team of health care providers.
