Adolescent Sexual Behavior:  New Preventive Strategies

This session provides an overview of adolescent sexual health and the latest information on preventing adverse outcomes from sexual activity.  The session experts discuss ACPM's new project to apply preventive medicine tools to improve adolescent health; adolescent sexual behavior and related health outcomes; prevention strategies; and the National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers.

At the end of this session, the user will be able to:

1.  Describe the trends in STDs and sexual behaviors in adolescents.
2.  Articulate a variety of individual, group, community and environmental/structural interventions to more effectively target and improve adolescent sexual health.
3.  Describe opportunities and strategies for training and capacity building.
