Jill Waalen, MD, MPH, FACPM is Board Certified in Preventive Medicine. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Experimental Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, where she conducts research on the genetic epidemiology of hemochromatosis, osteoporosis, and other chronic diseases. She is also Associate Director of the General Preventive Medicine Residency Program at the University of California San Diego/San Diego State University and has served as the Director of the American College of Preventive Medicine’s Inservice Examination since 2002.
