ACPM Health Disparities &
Patient Assistance
Program Initiative
AC
PM, with
support from Pfizer Helpful Answers and AstraZeneca, AZ&Me, has announced an educational
campaign to address the more than 50 million uninsured or under-insured
Americans who do not have access to needed prescription medications.
The
campaign will feature a national educational webinar as well as a
state-based briefing that will serve as a pilot for potential programs
in other states.
To
help patients who lack prescription drug coverage get access to the
medicines they need, many pharmaceutical companies offer patient
assistance programs. Because many patients – and even many physicians –
are unaware that this help may be available, ACPM is working to promote
the public health benefits of these important prescription assistance
programs, with the goal of reducing the risks of disease, disability and
death among under-served populations.Transforming Communities: Health Disparities and Patient Assistance
